Charlie & Ruthie's Practical BBQ Judging Experience
- Both have judged more than 50 different national, regional, and local BBQ contests in eight states, including: Memphis In MAY, The American Royal Barbecue contests, and contests in Denton, TX. They have each used the three most popular, nationally recognized scoring systems in judging barbecue.
- They created the cook-off rules and a special Judge's Scoring System for the CAPE-BBQ-FEST, a backyard BBQ contest in Cape Girardeau, MO, which promotes the increased consumption of lean, healthy pork and beef.
- Professional Memberships: Ruthie is a member of the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP), plus the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT). She remains a member of the St. Louis Culinary Society, the National BBQ Association and the Kansas City BBQ Society.
